The Sunday Telegraph in London (www.telegraph.co.uk/news) has learnt that the new film version of Brideshead Revisited features a gay kiss between the film's two leading men. In one scene the character of Sebastian Flyte, played by Ben Whishaw tries to kiss Charles Ryder. The scene will infuriate fans of the 1945 novel by Evelyn Waugh and the classic 1981 television adaptation. Although there has always been speculation about the precise nature of the relationship between Flyte and Ryder. There has been no overt reference to any feelings of homosexual lust between them.
